D: MY NOSE HAS BEEN STUFFY AND DRIPPY FOR THE PAST THREE DAYS AND I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE IT TO STOP NOW. KTHANKSBYE. T____T

Anyway. Life until now. Very busy. SuperEssayInflux! I have been writing essays non-stop! I have one more to go and it is on Leonardo di Vinci which I am heartily regretting as he is an incredibly ambitious topic that people far more obsessive/dedicated/brilliant than me have tackled. Successfully and unsuccessfully. As I am now personally being shown through VERY HEAVY BOOKS. Because seriously, people like to talk about Leonardo. A lot. Martin Kemp, however, is the nicest. <3

Uhm. Group presentations suck in more ways than one. That being said, did not do too terribly grade-wise. So that's good. I'm going to miss the education class. It was like being in an enjoyable high school class. Or. Maybe like grade 3 fun with the learn-factor of university. Anyways, I doubt I'll have a better education class because everyone I've asked said that the prof I just had is the best one. Oh well.

Also going to miss the class where the prof brought in his dog. Animals are just awesome.

So. I managed to eat good food all semester. I am fairly proud of myself in the amount of vegetables and protein and such that I took in. Generally, I degrade as the semester goes on, but I got by pretty good this semester.

Now, my nose is running and I'm going to go to bed. And hopefully wake up to my alarm tomorrow. Successfully. Haaaah..

I echo Mica's achy sentiments.

They had us falling, making other people fall, and doing these horribly complex somersaults in karate today on mats. I am going to feel terrible tomorrow. But it was awesome. I'm pretty horrible at it all at the moment though.

I finished my EDCI essay! This is truly an achievement, because there was a pretty big chance that this wasn't going to happen. But, after sacrificing sleep, half a poetry class, and the rest of my jelly belly jelly beans, I managed it. And I even think it's actually half-decent. If a little repetitive. But hey. What academic paper isn't?

Uhm. I don't have much else to say right now. Until a couple of hours ago, that paper was my life. ohgod. I'm going through paper withdrawal. OH. WAIT. IT'S OKAY. I HAVE 45 KAJABILLION OTHER PAPERS COMING UP. AHAHAHAHA. ha.

I am the roadkill of the scholarly world.

I am going to sleep/doing homework (maybe).

I.. would much rather be trapped on an elevator with Eeyore. I can't help but think that being trapped on an elevator with an excitable, bouncing Tigger would be a bad idea.

On another note, I should be working on essays. Specifically, the essay for my education class. In that class today, I was paired up with the most idiotic human ever. I understand your small, insignificant mind thinks there is something overwhelmingly cool about appearing to be totally disinterested in a class so simple as a teaching course, but would you kindly keep it to yourself so I'm not distracted by the urge to punch you in the face? Stop wasting both your own money and mine? kthnxs. Urrrrh.

Anyway.

I find that lately I either can't dredge up the urge to cook, or I find myself cooking something strange and complex. The middle section seems horribly boring to me. I find myself half-heartily making wraps or something like that out of pure resistance to hunger. I am so lazy. On the upside, the food I have been cooking has been magically delicious. I just need to stop taking cooking books out of the library. I am tempted by ingredients I cannot afford.

House in QB is overflowing with animals. There is another tiny dog (that we received for free) and a stray cat which has adopted us. Gabby is fascinated with both, and I predict it not ending well for her, on both accounts. It's okay. She can take it. She's awesome and a real dog.

I received money (which will be converted to groceries, yay!!), a book, and dvds for my birthday, all of which are awesome. Birthdays are cool.

Uhm. I'm going to actually work on my essay now. Or go to bed. Hopefully a little of both. Night.

After weeks and weeks of absence, I come here to tell you this:

I-

-feel very much like creating some act of random mischief.

The result of this could be extreme.

Sleepy and eyeing the trees outside her room suspiciously... [Jun. 14th, 2008|01:01 am]

I don't know if I'll ever look at trees in quite the same way again.

That being said... life if work, work, and some other small stuff. Uhm. Haven't really been doing too much else. Not even reading overly much. I read InterWorld by Neil Gaiman that Robin lent me and that was awesome. I also read a terrible Mercedes Lackey book, and an okay kid's book by a new author. So, I'm re-reading all of Gaiman's books, and they are proving to be just as good the second (or more) time around.

Now, despite the short entry and the long-awaited (haha) update, it is veeeery late and I'm going to pass out on my bed. Night!

I have a cold right now that is mucusing up my nose, and it sucks. >{

On other notes, work is going fiiiine. I think I'm starting to develop arm muscle again, which is a whole other level of awesome. We're planting flowers on the bank in the shape of the provincial flag for BC's anniversary, and there are faaar too many lines and colours in the BC flag, in my opinion. I keep thinking I'm going to fall down the hill while planting and impale myself on one of the millions of pegs stringing off the different coloured sections.

Started doing archery this week, and went to a mini-tournament that the medieval club held in at the place I do archery this weekend. I won a prize for getting the most points when we shot arrows at balloons. Needless to say, the competition isn't too stiff. Except for the 11 year old boy. He has some stupidly good skills. Yes, I'm jealous. Hopefully I'll improve again as the summer goes on. After the tournament, they gave me a cup of hot apple cider, which was very yummy. They were also going to have a "feast", but I couldn't stay for that.

Uhmmm. What else. I stole flowers from work to make mom a bouquet for mothers day. It was a bunch of daffodils, and they smelled very nice. We were taking the bulbs out anyway, in case any of you were worried.

And honeeeestly, I don't have much else my sleep deprived mind can think up at the moment. As always, I'll try to update soon.

I have deduced that 'Rock Star' is a wonderfully addicting game that will suck your soul in with florescent colours and loud noises. Worth every wasted second, though. I will unlock them all! Ahahahaha!

Anyways, besides spending waaaaaay more time than healthy on my new game, I have also been reading The Fifth Elephant' by Terry Pratchett. Wonderfully hilarious. No one seems to want to talk about books anymore, though (at least, not fantasy) so I have to keep resisting blurting out funny things about the politics of werewolves, dwarfs, and vampires to virtual strangers...

Also started a new Charles de Lint book, still finishing up 'The Count of Monte Christo' and I have re-read all the Neil Gaiman books within my possession. More that I can't remember. I imagine I'll slow down on the book consumption when I start working on Monday.

Hummmmmmm. What else. Nothing my Rock Star mushified brain can think of at the moment. I'll try to post again sometime in the near future with a better entry... >>;

It's five days until I leave on my flight to Hong Kong. Nervousness is setting in a little bit, but mostly just anticipation. I'm really looking forward to seeing China - or anywhere else in the world right now. Unfortunately, I have a bad cough, but I'm hoping that will be gone by the end of the week.

I hope my bag isn't too big.

I've become a hermit. I paint, I clean, and I research stuff for my trip. That is my life (not such a bad life ^^). I also read that book about the beginnings of Hannibal Lector, but that was just today. And not the general, the fictional character. It's less impressive than it sounds - the book was short and there were lots of large-font words on the small pages.

I just bought a horrendously expensive bag for my trip today after debating it for about a week. It's an ultra-safe bag that's almost impossible to break into (without the kind of effort that would attract attention), so it satisfies my intense paranoia. I figure I can use it when I head back to school, since it's kind of a hip-bag, and has neat little pockets and stuff.

I've also been panicking about booking trains, since I discovered that I COULDN'T book the Beijing-Hong Kong train online and most of the sites indicated that I had to purchase it IN Beijing five days before departure. That would have been a problem, since I'm only in Beijing for... six days or something. But, I'm 99.9% certain that the Hong Kong railway station sells tickets for the southbound route too, so yay! Happiness abounds.

Anyway, since this was a lazy copy-paste entry shared between this and an email to Mica, I shall end here and go to bed. ^^ Bye, guys.
